A start.

Hi

This is my first post on my first ever blog. And I am dyspraxic. So expect mistakes! But hopefully I will learn.

A little about me. Since 2012 I have taught in the economics department of Bristol University. Before that I studied at Warwick: Bsc Maths 91-94, Diploma Econ 04-05, Msc Econ 05-06, PhD Econ started 07. Submitted 12. Graduated 14.

I want to blog on the studying and teaching of economics. So I thought I would start with a question. In econometrics there are a lot of econometric tests. So how should a student go about learning them. Specifically, what components go to make up an econometric test?

PS I am the paulwhy of TSR fame/imfamy: I posted 8505 times over a couple of years. So hopefully there should be content!
